Description: Be creative, unique and individual. We will sell you the beads, buttons and findings that allow you to make something that is truly all about you. As far as we're concerned craft is about having fun and expressing yourself, not just getting it perfect. We want you to find the bead that sets your heart racing and your creative juices flowing. Bunyip Beads and Buttons was opened in November 2002 in Exeter by Mattie Richardson. Located in the popular McCoy's Arcade in the heart of Exeter's historic West Quarter, Bunyip is surrounded by other individual retailers in an undercover, cobbled arcade. Our online shop is an ever changing feast so it's always worth a look to see what else we've put on the site - one day we'll manage to get everything in the shop into cyberspace! We hope you can find everything you need to suit all your beading desires. If in doubt, just give us a ring and we'll add anything else we stock to your order or just post it out (you can pay over the phone). We really are very flexible and happy to help. We are here to assist you - feel free to give us a call any time. We would love to welcome you to our Exeter shop where we have a massive (and ever changing) range of beads, buttons, threads, findings and jewellery. Our latest ranges are so beautiful - amazing Vintage beads from the 50s, 60s and 70s but, be warned, there's only a limited supply and when they've gone, they've gone! Our new Bridal section is everything you need for making beautiful and unique wedding jewellery and is already proving a big hit with individualistic and budget conscious brides to be. Find out more by clicking on 'Exeter shop'. Bunyip offers a range of workshops to suit all ages and abilities to help learn about jewellery making and improve your crafting techniques. We have proper taught classes as well as drop in sessions and informal Make 'n Takes. All workshops are run in our lovely shop, from 5.45pm - 7.45pm and cost £15. (This doesn't apply to Drop in Saturdays or Make 'n Take, see below for more details) The cost of the workshop includes endless tea and biscuits and enough beads and findings to get you started. Special Bridal Workshops for Spring Bridal Beginners Workshop Let us take you through the basics of bridal jewellery. Learn how to make a beautiful double stranded necklace and a pretty bracelet, fit for a princess. We will also look at how tiaras are made so you can get started on the one of your dreams. Bridal Advanced Workshop In the relaxing atmosphere of our lovely shop, you will learn how to unpick the mystery of bridal jewellery design. Working mainly with wire, we look at more advanced designs so you can tailor your own dreams into a wearable piece of jewellery. Bridal Tiara-making Workshop Tiaras are really very simple to make! With tea and biscuits at the ready, you will be guided step by step over all the techniques needed to make a beautiful tiara, until you are ready to try your own design (or one of ours!)
